Steve Fisher, FMP host, is many things. But first and foremost, he is a storyteller.
The first story he remembers telling was at age 5, when he announced to the neighborhood kids that a carnival was coming to town and his backyard was chosen as the official site. The kids were so excited, Steve didn't have the heart to tell them it was only a story. So... he produced a carnival.
Just before the carnival was set to open its doors, disaster struck. Steve's mom sent him to his room because he was "yelling too much." Steve tried to explain to her that he wasn't angry, just intense. But Mrs. Fisher wasn't having it.
Luckily, Steve was able to manage the entire event by giving directions from his bedroom window. It was ideal, as it turned out, since it gave him that bird's eye view any producer needs to pull off a successful carnival. And was it ever.
Since then, Steve's created many other stories and carnivals, pretty much the same way.
One of his stories is the Commonwealth Youthchoirs. His 30 year career of making music with young people around the world has resulted in a treasure trove of incredible stories, inspiring life lessons, and pearls of wisdom for all of us.
Other stories include The Little Dancer...a family holiday musical!
